Allergies are often missed being detected because they don’t always have the classic associated symptoms(runny nose, hives, upper respiratory conditions, etc.). Many allergies for example manifest as symptoms of behavioral disorders often misdiagnosed especially in children as ADD and ADHD. Almost all children brought to me for ADD or ADHD are kids with multiple allergies.
Once these allergies are detected and properly treated, the symptoms quickly go away.
Allergies can also be the cause of many digestive problems and conditions including leaky gut, Crohns Disease, Diverticulitis, gas and bloating, and many others. Many people with allergies avoid foods that are otherwise good for them such as wheat and other whole grains. The cause of hypersensitivity to these foods are almost always allergies that can be easily treated. The list of conditions and symptoms from allergies are almost endless.
