Most people have multiple allergies and sometimes don’t even know it. For example many conditions such as ADD or ADHD are almost always caused by multiple allergies. Allergies can come in many forms.
There are allergies called endogenous allergens which is when your body is having an allergic reaction to itself. These are when body tissues, body chemicals or waste products of the body are behaving as allergenic triggers causing or contributing to allergenic symptoms.
The most common allergies are called exogenous allergens, meaning your body is allergic to something coming in from outside the body. Exogenous allergens are classified to four basic categories:
- Ingestants (anything you eat or drink)
- Contactants (anything that touches your body)
- Inhalants (anything you breathe in)
- Injectants (shots, immunizations, etc.)
Most people with allergy symptoms treat them with medications either prescription or over the counter varieties. These drugs are dangerous especially when used over long periods. Just read the side effects lists for these drugs and you will know they are not risk free. many people avoid many foods due to allergies including sometimes healthy foods which are essential for optimal health. Drugs and avoiding allergen triggers dose not fix or cure the allergies.
Allergies can only be cured by treating them at their root cause which can often be different for each individual. The answer is in evaluating and treating the autonomic nervous system.
